Beautifully-animated dripping light clock

Lightweights, designed by Rux Studios and manufactured by Gradual, is a lamp that tells time in a beautifully unique way. This patented clock visualizes time through ‘time chambers’ and ‘dripping light,’ where light flows from the top chamber and gradually fills the ones below before draining away.

Each lamp is fully customizable, with modular firmware and hardware that allow endless configurations of chamber arrangements and time durations. For instance, one version may have five chambers representing seconds, minutes, hours, days, and weeks, while another may have three chambers symbolizing years, decades, and millennia.

Tomorrow Lab developed the electronics and firmware for precise timing and lighting control, while BornFight created the companion app. The app enables users to adjust aesthetic parameters such as brightness, drip rate, and the physics of the dripping light, making each lamp a personalized experience.
