OK Capsule's service allows supplement brands and holistic medicine practitioners to create branded personalized regimen of vitamins that are filled on-demand. Tomorrow Lab designed and developed a unique and sustainable dispenser packaging system to work with their fully customized pill packets.

The OK Capsule Packaging System provides best-in-class convenience in sustainable style. It combines personalized vitamin packs and a dispenser designed for precision, portability, and sustainability. Made from eco-friendly materials, including compostable packaging, the system emphasizes ease of use, aesthetics, and functionality. Features include a wrapped sleeve, rounded corners, a tactile closure and a center dispense mechanism, ensure usability and an appealing user experience. The design prioritizes clarity with labeled pill packs, refillability and flat shipping capability. Aesthetically, the system is smooth, glue-free, and visually pleasing for display in kitchens or bathrooms. Final materials include molded paper pulp and cardboard, with thoughtful dieline scoring and label integration for a seamless experience.

01 —Three Part System

We designed a three-part system comprised of three core elements: Roll, Cartridge, and Sleeve.

1. Roll of Custom-Filled Sachets (30-60ct) - Designed for precision, on-demand filling equipment; Available as low-plastic and biodegradable options.

2. Recycled Paper Pulp Cartridge - A lightweight, clamshell made in biodegradable and curbside recyclable kraft paper pulp. The cartridge protects the roll of supplements and provides smooth dispensing.

3. Sleeve - Provides unmatched branding opportunities and flexibility. Available in a recyclable f-flue sleeve or a refillable metal tin with a bamboo top.

02 —Sustainable Packaging Design

Sustainable packaging can be both functional and beautiful. Through our Holistic Innovation process, we developed and tested design concepts for durability, user experience, and manufacturability while optimizing costs with packaging partners.

Paper pulp provided structure for a seamless dispense experience, ensuring each pack pops out easily and stays in place for effortless tearing. The folded cardboard sleeve allowed for adhesive labeling, direct printing, and a clean tear edge.

Working with OK Capsule’s operations team, we streamlined fulfillment and integrated the packaging into their logistics. Designed for compact shipping and on-site assembly, the sleeve system enabled a fast go-to-market strategy, with custom sleeves planned for a larger rollout.
